Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Pages: 363
Rating: 5/5
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny—one she could never have imagined… Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school…or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth—that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face…and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

The Iron King is an amazing book that takes you into a magical world of the Fae. From the first page it had me wrapped in it's fingers, and not once let go. The world the author created was vivid and completely magical. It was filled with creatures, trolls, giants, and everything in between. But my favorite had to be the main characters. The ones that told the story; Meghan, Robbie, Ash (hellllo swoonage), and Grim. They were all fun, amazing characters and how they were created were realistic to a point I thought they were real. I found myself getting angry, happy, sad, or laughing with them. No wonder every review for this book is a good one! Between the amazing descriptions, strong characters, and the have yourself an awesome novel. I definitely recommend this book and can not wait until the next installment comes. Or, ya' know, can not wait to get more of Ash and Robbie! ;)

Favorite line:
"Stop thinking," Ash muttered, pulling me into a spin that ended with me against his chest. "The audience doesn't matter. The steps don't matter. Just close your eyes and listen to the music."
-Ash pg. 170

  1. I absolutely adored this one! Such a great book...

  2. This was such a great book. Can't wait for The Iron Daughter! Ash is cool, but I'm definitely Team Puck!
